Tala Hair Studio // Holiday Edition

I love having my little studio to decorate for the holidays! It is my little haven! It is such a blessing having my hair studio in my home! I still pinch myself everyday, that I am living out my dream! It would not be anything without my amazing guests! It has been such an honor sharing life with all of my clients! I love how being a hairstylist is such a beautiful and unique thing. I am a friend, a listener, a care provider, a day maker, and a creative consultant. I do not take my job lightly. It is my purpose and calling. I love the transformations that take place in the little space!

With that being said, I love Christmas! Everyone knows that I love to decorate and create! I want everyone that walks through the door to be able to go on a "hair vacation" and escape the real world. Whether, I have Ray LaMontagne, Rita Springer, Dave Matthews or Coldplay on or the fireplace going with a coffee brewed, I want you to feel special. I love having the space decorated to celebrate Jesus' birthday! Here are some pix of the studio for this holiday season!

I strung hemp across the wall with some plastic snowflakes. Simple. Modern. The key is less is more in commerical spaces! I don't want it to look cluttered! Pick a few spots to highlight and run with it! I like how I can do something totally different in the studio compared to my home space!

I love my transom window in the studio. I have greens/lights and some modern wood trees from Target up there.

PTL for this Fireplace. Sooooooo happy with it. I didn't put anything on the fireplace for decor yet. Do you have any suggestions for me? Please share in a comment!

Who would have thought, how amazing pennies are for a statement piece?!

My rockin' sister in law makes these burlap wreaths! This one retails at $38! Holler!

I made this paper garland last year! I love how it dresses up the mirror!

Of course, I have treats!

My glorious barn door with my snowflake.

Towel warmer for the brisk days. I am selling some cute little handmade goodies that my mom and friend makes too!

two words:  Dry Conditioner! a must for winter!

I am still loving my farm sink in the bathroom!

Have you started decorating for the holidays yet? I am getting sooo excited for the month of festivities! I am working extra hours to get all of you in! So don't forget to set up a reservation today!

Happy Tuesday!

christmas love

I thought I would share some pix from our holiday. I love decorating for Christmas. Every year we add a little more decor. I didn't get to do as much as I originally wanted to but I was still happy with the warmth and love in our home. Christmas is crazy for us. Tala Hair Studio was crazy busy with all my lovely guests coming in for Holiday pampering. Our church had 5 performances of our play. On top of that, life was the usual busy.

When we we went to Stevens Point earlier this month, Zion did crafts with her Aunt Katie and Grandma Loni. They made these bad boys. Love.

I ordered new stockings on Pottery Barn for our fan. I got free S&H and free monograming. They screwed up my text color so mine was FREE! I am happy with them.

Best investment ever....Fisher Price Little People Nativity Set. AMEN> hours of fun.....for the littles.
Zion loves her Baby Jesus.....

Love me some garland/lights.....

I hung some giant Christmas bulbs by the front Dining room window.

I got this awesome metal flower box at Junk Bonanza with my BFF Jody a couple of years ago. I put some pinecones/candles/and sparkles in there. It looked so cute on our table.

View of the living room. We live in the room. It is our most used room in our home. I love it.

I got these trees at Hobby Lobby a few years ago....fun and modern. I put them on a target twig runner.

The fireplace...The wreath is from Pier One.

I hung some twinkle lights mixed with ornaments and sparkles. My candles are gifts from our wedding. My brass heart votives and angel candle holder is from Grandma Cherie.

My folks built this Santa for us. Love.

We did some art with the girls. It is going to be a yearly tradition. The hand tree is Zion's hands. The Reindeer are Kiyah's feet. The foot tree is from Zion last year.

I put a mirror on our coffee table from Target (wedding gift) and put some berries and candle on it. cute. simple.

Some of our pillows. fun....the snowflake ones are from Target clearance a few years back. The embroidered ones are from Pottery barn. The aqua one is from Amanda P. I love them.

We keep the Christmas books by the fireplace. They are much used during this fabulous season.

Hoping you had a great holiday with your loved ones. I will post more tomorrow on our Christmas....loves.
