Thank You Jesus it is Friday

Crazy Cass LIFE.
I have been neglecting the bloglife. I love having this space for my writing and logging our life….. staying inspired and connecting with you……but, sometimes I get tired. I think it is the month 6 of winter syndrome. I need Spring. I don't want to space to be vent/crab fest…so I have been keeping my thoughts to myself…. :)
All in All, many things to be thankful for.  This past week was busy at Tala and the homefront. Here are a few pix. ( Linking up with Lauren and Jeanett

Donuts with my best friend. Why is it so hard to even make time for our favorite people………Much needed girlfriend time while our children ran around.

Princess clothes and apple slices.

I am excited to have Easter later in the season this year- maybe it will be more Spring like. Painting eggs :) in swimsuits, of course.

Iced coffee and snow pants playing with sidewalk chalk. #mnprobs

A BEFORE pix of a corner I am working on (revamping) in my living room. I had Andy hang up this shelf for me! I want this to be a reading/coffee nook.

I am also working on Zion's bedroom right now. I made the tassel garland this week! Zakiyah has successfully slept in the pack-n-play for 4 nights! We are moving the girls into the same room to make room for a office/art studio/guest room ;)

My ladies sharing a room!

Spring nails. LOVE!

Happy Friday friends.

random: is there anything you want to see on this blog? any post ideas? fav things that I share…. I would love to hear your thoughts…… Please leave a comment below!

Cass Life- weekly recap

21 Fairies.
500+ women's event (2 nights in a row)
12 hour shifts at Tala
4 days without a voice.
car in ditch.
23 lattes/americanos I consumed.
I am tired.

But, what an amazing week for me!

I survived with amazing coffee that my friends (baristas) made for our annual Ladies Candlelight Dinner at church!

Minnesota is lamesauce. I am over the -40 windchill temps- 2 feet of snow in a day- car going in ditch because of 6" of ice on the roads…… Jesus, take the wheel. Thankful we were all safe and didn't get injured or hit anyone.

I squeezed in cuddles with my ladies- needed. 'nuff said.

So, what is the Ladies Candlelight Dinner? It is an amazing event that our church puts on for our community. It is held in our gathering area at church, catered dinner with entertainment and a guest speaker! Every table has a hostess that brings her own tableware/decor. It is eclectic and amazing! I hosted two nights in a row!!! Our theme was JOY and it was the best! I helped with decor and behind the scenes stuff! Worth the time….til next year….

Here is my table this year!

Last weekend, we had a huge 4th birthday celebration for Zion Leilani! Tinkerbell/fairy themed! How cute are these fairies!? I am going to post monday on the details from the party! My Hus and Zion share a birthday as well! Andy has started the tradition of being CHEF ANDY at our kids parties…… The little girls loved it! Accent and all. Zion was so proud of her daddy. We gave Andy the costume for Christmas this year!

The little ladies painted fairy houses for a keepsake.

Off to a youth conference! Have a blessed weekend!

Cass Life // Valentines Edition

Happy Valentines Day!!!!! I love this holiday! It gets a lot of gruff from people, but I have always loved it. Single or not. I remember being 19 and getting a bouquet of flowers from an anoymous friend, "I am waiting for you! Love, Your Knight and ShiningArmor!" I have always taken 2.14 to show my peeps they are special! I love spoiling Andy, Zion and Zakiyah! Love all around! We made lots of cards this week for the holiday!

We picked up these cute envelopes at Hobby Lobby and put a foam sticker and sucker in each one. Zion addressed 35 total! She did wonderful! Her little classmates were so excited for the party at church.

I found this free printable here! I loved doing a candy alternative! Plus, I tend to say "lame sauce" and this was a little more positive! Zion colored the tops to put on. We brought these to my friend's daycare to celebrate with her kiddos!

I found this lovely idea on Bonnie's blog! (She is one of my favs) I didn't use sticker paper like it said. I just used paper and double stick tape. My hus loves tea and I thought it would be fun and sweet to surprise him with this! I chose a Hot Spicy Cinnaman Sunset for the flavor // perf for V Day. I also got him so new shoes to spoil him, considering he has been duct taping the bottom of his to not get water in them;)

I got the ladies some adorable Zubel yarn dolls. Mermaid and Ballerina! They have napped already today in Zion's room!

Zion has been walking around in her night gown for a day now! She got it as a trade in for all the candy she has collected from V Day. I have fun with all the exchanges, but can not handle the whining/negotating for candy. Problem solved…..

Not sure if you checked out my Bathroom Reveal yesterday! I am in heaven when I am in this new favorite room!

CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!!!!!!! Prepping for a 4th birthday party! Check out my ballerina! Zakiyah and Zion are stoked to celebrate. Five days of Zi/Andy starts tomorrow. Their birthdays are on 2.19! Tinkerbell party is under way…...

This little lady is offically 18 months next week! She is hilarious. Offically, kissing us all the time…..trying to talk. Yells "Mama, DaDa, Zi and Kiyah"! We are chasing after her and keeping her safe. Ha. But, man she knows how to make me laugh! Love her so much.

My dear friends had their first baby girl (third child) this week! Look at her! What a miracle! Her name is Zayda Ever Dawn! She is loved so much by many!!!!!!

Happy Valentines! Loves to all my THL friends. Thanks for sharing this space with me!

CassLIFE// fav pix from the week!

I thought I would share with you some favorite pix of the week from my phone……. Lots of being cooped up with the cold weather. We did host a Superbowl party and I worked some long days at Tala. I have some fun crafts that I am working on! We are dreaming of some warmer days and being outside. Overall, we are making the most of it.

cute little lady feet. Always together. Always climbing. Always wearing stripes.

I scored some clearance plants this week that I am going to pot this weekend! Pray for my plants…..They tend to not get along with me.

Remember my mood board for my Master Bath?! I found these towel hooks at Anthro on CLEARANCE!!!!! whoop whoop.

It was observation day at Ballet this week. All I have to say is, it is impossible to observe my firstborn with a 1.5 year old running around. Out of control. She loves watching her big sister though.

Zion loves dance!!!! We stayed after 15 minutes for her to "teach" her friends dance afer class. #firstborn #minime #bossy #iaminforit (note:  no ballet slippers// how does this kid grow so fast? I had to order new ones.)

Zakiyah is obsessed with coloring…I mean eating markers and crayons. She loves being a big girl!

I treated myself to a free mani during nap….watching Friday Night Lights and painted my nails. Holler.

Cousin time was a must this week! Soooooo cute these too. I love my nephew (only cousin for Z/Z) Ryder! He is the best! This is his "post haircut" shoot!

Happy Friday! xoxoxoxo

CassLIFE // weekly recap

January is a funny month.
It is a season of purging. organizing. cleaning. resting. staying in. cuddling. baking. and dreaming of somewhere warm :)
This past week has hit record lows in temps and wind chills. Minnesota hit -40 or so BELOW  in wind chill. Closing schools and keeping me indoors. So the Cass fam made lots of forts, baked some sweets, and had a lot of craft time.

I am the queen of eating sweets….like 6 cookies in a day and then juicing 2 times to balance it out. Anyone else with me here? :)

I have been in a random kick of throwing random concoctions together for meals. This is pulled chicken, cooked carrots and broccoli and feta cheese. It was actually really good ;)

The ladies are loving their fort. Many hours planing in here. Zion has been extra dramatic lately. Doesn't want to brush her teeth, because the toothpaste is too spicy. Refuses to let me pick out her outfit or hairstyle for the day. Bed time routines taking extra long. She is loving working on her preschool books and identifying letters and numbers! Zi wants a play day everyday with friends. Zakiyah is into EVERYTHING. Every drawer/basket/cupboard. Still brushing her teeth 4-6 times a day. She loves dogs and makes the most hilarious noise (panting) for doggies. Both girls love "What does the Fox say?" for songs. They are obsessed with oatmeal and fruit snacks. Zakiyah is famous for wearing a lanyard around daily and Zion wears the same headband everyday.

I love coloring as much as my almost 4 year old. Coloring stickers was a highlight.

Had a great wedding to attend. I did the hair for the event as well!

My word. I love cuddling my ladies. Soooooooo peaceful and overflows my heart. They love cuddling Andy and I. Zion is famous for crawling into our bed in the early morning to kick and take over our bed. BLISS.

Andy reading the girls the bible. They love sitting on his lap. They drank their milk, had oatmeal, held spatulas all while sitting on daddy reading about Baby Jesus. So cute.

(I am parked here) I often turn around and see this. This bond. This sisterhood. Zakiyah was napping here too. :)

Started ballet up again. I love peaking and seeing Zi dance around.

I can't believe it is 2014. Wow. I have been processing a lot lately on what I want life to look like for this new year. I am going to share with you tomorrow what my word is for the year. Do you have a word? If you missed my 2013 recap- it is here

Happy Friday!
