Lock Love Wednesday

I started Lock Lock Wednesday to get myself motivated to style my hair everyday. It is so easy, for even hair stylists to get in a rut with their hair. I am hoping to inspire you along the way with simple and fun techniques to help you look fabulous! Join me along the way. It will be fun! All you have to do is take snapshots of your hair during the week and link up with me below!

We had a big play at our youth group last week. I styled Jaymi's hair above by doing a french twist and twisted it on top. I didn't do her makeup...but love it!

Zion loves when I put her hair up funky! Here is one of her many looks this week!

My really good friend, Katherine has amazing hair! I put a fish tail braid in it. Someday I will do that too!

Here is my easy updo, I rocked. I put my hair in 3 pony buns and connected the buns with bobby pins. took 3 minutes. easy!

Join me and show off your hair styles! Follow me and link up on Instagram #locklockwed and #locklovewednesday or join us below!

Goose is getting hitched

My mom and sister, Cara hosted a bridal shower this past weekend for my sister, Chelsea! Our theme was an outdoor/summer shower. We hung out on the deck, kitchen, dining room and living room. Chelsea is getting married Labor Day Weekend at a local vineyard. Can not wait!

Our theme for the menu was Chelsea's favorite things:

egg bake (1 vegetarian + 1 meat)
carrot + cucumber tulips (fav. flower)
lemon blueberry + dark chocolate raspberry scones (cara's speciality)
cookie butter with marshmallows + chocolate chips
cinnamon yogurt partfaits with strawberries/blueberries mixed with sweetened pretzels (my dad works at Old Dutch)
bacon
tiered waffles with whipped cream + fruit served with irish butter and syrup
iced coffee
sparkling mango lemonade
bloody mary bar

The day before the shower, my friend Katherine came over to assist Cara and I! We spent the whole day prepping for the event. My mom and dad came in the evening to help with the details!

Our kids were very entertaining while we were prepping :)

My 3 yo daughter defnitley influences my (almost) 3 yo nephew. What do you think? tutus and heels? Ha.

I made little labels for all of the food!

Part of Chelsea's gift was this chalkboard with her important dates with her man. Their nicknames are Bird + Goose.

Have you tried irish butter? Oh my word. amaze.

my friend Kati, borrowed me some vintage linens.

As a shower favor, we put honey in baby food jars and put bakers twine and cute Jody fabric on them. I had the fabric left over from Zion's birthday party. I used washi tape and wrote "how sweet it is to be loved by you" on the cards.

I put out my frame from Chelsea next to the honey. fitting. i love the quote.

My family enjoying the day.

My handsome dad. Helping me out!

Later in the day, we hit up a cousin's grad party and came back to my nephew's 3rd birthday party! It was pirate themed. Cara did great with the details! I love it.

Love you Ryder James. You are so fun. cute. charming. hilarious. You are the best!
