Master Bath REVEAL

I am really excited to show you our Master Bathroom! We have been working on over the past week! It is amazing how little upgrades makes such a huge difference. I am in love with our little "spa"!

When we moved in, our bathroom looked like this……

After moving in, we just hung up some items and went with it. (notice the towel rod below/is gone now)

This is the Master Bathroom Mood Board that I created before getting started!

Here is my space now!  New paint. New shelves. New towel hooks. New display for art/candles! I love it!

The shelves are Target Threshold! My oils are essential to have out….use them everyday. West Elm jar for bath salts. The two jars are TJ MAXX.

Anthro bowls are dispursed throughout my home ;) The jar for the soap is TJ Maxx.

I love mirror trays for hair/beauty products! The tray is TJ Maxx.

Zion's ear at 5 days old! Fagan Studios print. I painted the frame white!

I love turkish towels. They don't smell over time. Dry quick. Stylish.

I scored these hooks at Anthro on clearance. They match perfect!

I used a curtain and hooks that we got for our wedding. It is from Target.

I have two microfiber plush spa bath mats! I love them.

 I love pretty towels.

I copper leafed my black mirror for the bathroom!

Fun Plants for your HOME

I have been all about plants in my home lately. Maybe it is my winter blues, but man, they cheer me up! I have been wanting to freshen up my space with some new ones!

Remember, when I mentioned that I scored some good deals on plants last week? Well, I crafted up some pretty pots this weekend!

This is what I started with……

I used planters that I already owned. They were looking sad.

I started by painting the terracotta pot with a fun yellow acrylic paint. I did 5 coats! I then used copper leaf and adhesive to make it fun. I used painters tape to section off my shapes. I have to say, that I think I might be addicted to using copper/gold leaf right now! Oh my word, so fun!

On the gray pot, I did 2 yellow triangles and 2 copper leaf!

For the leafing technique…..

1. section off your desired area you want the copper to go.
2. paint a thin coat of adhesive on the surface. wait 20-30 minutes for it to change from milky white to clear.
3. apply the gold/silver/copper leaf to the area.
4. I used a spray sealer on my pots so they are water resistant!

That is it. easy.

I painted copper leaf on the base of my new hanging basket! Hint: this is the master bath…..There will be a reveal later this week of my newly decorated space. (the pix is taken before I painted the room) I want to make the copper line more straight……. soon…..

After! So pretty.

So what do you think? Have you used copper/gold leaf before? It is so easy! I love it! Any projects that you are working on right now?

Happy Monday!

CassLIFE// fav pix from the week!

I thought I would share with you some favorite pix of the week from my phone……. Lots of being cooped up with the cold weather. We did host a Superbowl party and I worked some long days at Tala. I have some fun crafts that I am working on! We are dreaming of some warmer days and being outside. Overall, we are making the most of it.

cute little lady feet. Always together. Always climbing. Always wearing stripes.

I scored some clearance plants this week that I am going to pot this weekend! Pray for my plants…..They tend to not get along with me.

Remember my mood board for my Master Bath?! I found these towel hooks at Anthro on CLEARANCE!!!!! whoop whoop.

It was observation day at Ballet this week. All I have to say is, it is impossible to observe my firstborn with a 1.5 year old running around. Out of control. She loves watching her big sister though.

Zion loves dance!!!! We stayed after 15 minutes for her to "teach" her friends dance afer class. #firstborn #minime #bossy #iaminforit (note:  no ballet slippers// how does this kid grow so fast? I had to order new ones.)

Zakiyah is obsessed with coloring…I mean eating markers and crayons. She loves being a big girl!

I treated myself to a free mani during nap….watching Friday Night Lights and painted my nails. Holler.

Cousin time was a must this week! Soooooo cute these too. I love my nephew (only cousin for Z/Z) Ryder! He is the best! This is his "post haircut" shoot!

Happy Friday! xoxoxoxo

I love this look!!!! The Braided High Bun is a easy way to switch up your bun!

1. Start with a high pony tail.
2. Braid the pony and put a clear hair tie on.
3. Seperate the braid/ spread out the sections to have more hair to work with.
4. twist the braid into a fun bun to your liking.
5. bobby pin (open up the pin/have the ridged side facing down) and pin around the bun. I used 5 pins. I like keeping the ends out to make the look more casual and natural.
6. Wa-Lah!!!!!

Here is a close up of her high bun!

The Ombré look is sticking around in the hair world, and I love switching it up! I did a reverse Ombré on Amanda this week! I love it!!!!! We bleach her hair and painted on a red/violet and espresso brown through her ends. I toned her blonde with a high lift ash! I love it!!!!!!

Here is Amanda's before and after! She is looking good in the hood!
This was my first time coloring Kim's hair! We ombréd her hair with a fun approach. I painted low lights of a rich brown through from scalp to ends. I then took two different colors to brighten up her hair. I chose a blonde and warm caramel to give her hair some lift. I painted more of the lighter tones around her face! I took 2 inches off overall to freshen up her hair style! Lovley!!!!!!!

Mens hair is so fun to style and cut! Tyler looks fresh!
Blonde Bliss for Lisa! I love her blonde locks!
Claire rocks the bob amazing! She looks stunning! It is totally her style! I love this look on her!!!!

I am still loving the easy twist updo with my headbands! Takes 2 minutes and looks vintage and whimsical!

Join me below with your locks from the week! Happy LLW!

Taking time to be thankful.

I found this image on Pinterest and love what it says.

Truth.
Simple.
Yet, profound.

Man, we are blessed.
Overwhelmed lately with gratitude.
Thankful for my husband.
Thankful for my z pies.
Seriously, this season…… raising littles is pretty awesome.
Somedays are harder than others. Somedays just play rock.

Lately, I have been soaking in the moments. Cuddling with Kiyah. She is our little monster! Zakiyah invented the word, "explore." She learned how to open the oven this weekend! She stands on her rocking horse, or any table for that matter. She follows her sister in everything! She loves dried cranberries and anything sweet! She gives the best hugs and her giggle is contagious. She is going to out run us anyday now. Zakiyah Nova- our blessing.

Zion is growing up before our eyes. I can not believe that she will be 4 in a couple of weeks here! I took her on a date over the weekend, to celebrate her helpful heart and giving spirit. I figured it was time to celebrate and show her I appreicate her! She is my little helper everyday! From cleaning the studio with me, to emptying the dishwasher, to making her bed, she rocks at helping her mama. She says "yuv you" fifty times a day. She loves painting nails and using her imagination. Everything is magic in this house. She is so excited to have a Tinkerbell party. I love that we are turning the four year old corner in life….. more grown up…..less tantrums….. amen and amen

The Hus and I have been together for 12 crazy years- what the? Where did the time go? I am still lucky to call him my BFF and my partner in this life. He continues to challenge me and make me a better woman. We couldn't be any more opposite but it somehow works for us. Thankful for his sense of humor, his consistency in EVERYTHING, his opproach at life, his leadership in our family. Love you hus…...

The girls love watching daddy sing and play. It is one of my favorite casslife things we do.

Cass girls sandwich. The best. I love how Z/Z are buddies. IN IT FOR LIFE is what I always tell them.
