Hi, I am Christy Cass! I am a wife to Andy Cass, a mom to our amazing daughters, Zion and Zakiyah. I have lived in Rochester, MN for the past 11 + years with my husband. Which is ironically where I was born 33 years ago! I have lived in Minnesota my whole life and never would have guessed this is where God would call me. It is funny how life does that to us.
I have a two awesome sisters, Chelsea and Cara, who are my best friends. My husband and I get the opportunity to be in the youth ministry called THE GATE at the Rochester Assembly church. We get asked how we choose to hang with teens all the time, but honestly, it is the best job ever. Teenage-hood is a blast in a half to be apart of. Our home has teens over all the time and I wouldn't have any other way.
My day time job is being a Hair Stylist at Tala Hair Studio! It is in our home. I got to see my dreams come true a year and a half ago when I opened my doors for the first time. It is such a blessing working from home and being able to be a "day maker" for my guests. I love pampering them with pariffin hand dips, scalp massages, and making them feel better on the outside. I have the best clients ever! I love anything that has to do with fashion and art. I love how I can collide my love for painting and creating art into hair styles/coloring/ and cutting. I have been in the industry for a decade now. It was my childhood dream to be a hair stylist but my parents really wanted to see me go to "college" first. So I attended University of MN- Duluth studying Graphic Design and Art for 3 years prior to attending Aveda Institute- Minneapolis for Cosmetology. Dropping out of University was the best decision I ever made. It is such a blessing to do what you love.
Some random things that I love//adore//enjoy are: pancakes and "slow" mornings on my family's day off together, cuddling my daughters, painting art, taking pictures, drive thru coffee shops, girls nights and weekends, boutiques, LuluLemon, cinnamon rolls, renting movies with my hus and making "pop-pop" (popcorn), painting my nails, decorating and dreaming for our house, making my baby girl giggle, looking at magazines, planning events for the teen girls, making art and doing "pro-jecks" (projects) with Zion, sitting on our deck and basking in the sun, my red robe, Trader Joes, laughing and being crazy, having deep conversations with my friends and making someone's day!
