LLW-Wedding addition

Happy Wednesday everyone!  This week, I am sharing with you some candid shots that my girl, Lesley, from Mingle&Rubbish took from my sisters wedding! We had a lovely wedding in Red Wing! Thanks Les for the pix!!!! 

I started Lock Lock Wednesday to get myself motivated to style my hair everyday. It is so easy, for even hair stylists to get in a rut with their hair. I am hoping to inspire you along the way with simple and fun techniques to help you look fabulous! Join me along the way. It will be fun! My sis, Chelsea, at the rehearsal. i used my curl wand and Awapuhi Hair Spray to curl her hair. I put in a side french braid and clipped in a flower for fun. I love it. 

My sisters and I! I had curl wand curled my hair in the morning and let it do it's thing throughout the day. 

getting ready......... on the wedding day. We had my lovely Aunt Gina do our hair for the occasion. It was really nice being pampered. She did my sisters and my hair on my wedding day too!

I curled my mom's hair (left, in purple) with a curl wand too! I back combed it and spray it with a lot of hairspray. I love the groom's hair too.........we had cut it earlier in the week. I wanted something more vintage for him. He looks "dapper"!

Chelsea's veil was made with materials from both our mom's and Curtis' mom veils  The rhinestone clip is my Grandma Cherie's. I adore Chelsea's look. So romantic and gorgeous. I love her hair color too! We colored it with 3 blonde tones- champagne, bleach blonde, and beige blonde. So natural looking.....

Les helped Chels with the viel. The vintage brooches were hers. So cute.....

Cara looked awesome too! I loved her soft updo. It was so pretty on her. My dad is enjoying himself here too.

 That fine looking gent marrying them is my hot hus! Lookin good there, Andy!

HAPPY FRIDAY- H54F

Every week I like to share with you my highlights from the week. It has been an eventful one to say the least. What a great week, I have had. It has been full of a wedding, grad parties, a bridal shower, family time, work, church etc. 

Last weekend, my sister and mom helped me host a bridal shower for my sister. You can see more on that here! We had the theme be Chelsea's favorite things. She loves tulips so we used cucumbers and carrots for them :)

With my hus being a youth pastor, we are in the midst of graduations and parties! We hit up a party last weekend at a golf course for my cousin Benny- (goes to the Gate youth group) We cruised around in a golf cart. It was a blast! My nephew, Ryder was with us!

We attended a lovely wedding at Mayowood Barn this past weekend too. It was stunning. The burlap, lace, flowers, lavender, and all the details. I loved it!

 Life for the lil ladies....

My 3 year old is in a preschool program at our church called Rainbows. It is themed around Noah's Ark and she had her graduation ceremony. It was so cute. She was so proud! She is looking at her bag here. 

I am loving my TIGI curl wand for my hair. It is my current go to for styling. I take my hair in 3 sections and curl it away from my face. I am still loving the challenge of Lock Love Wednesday posts to stay inspired.

A group of ladies started a monthly ladies night out. We went to City Cafe last night! It was so refreshing. We laughed so hard my face and belly hurt. Bliss. I picked up some of my friends and even pulled out some old mix CDs to get in the mood! It was so lovely!

Happy Friday! I am praying that this weather shapes up for MN! We defnitely have green grass now! It is so crazy having this weather daily. I love myself a good sunny day. The pools are supposed to be opening this weekend. YAH! It has been a great week! I have been scrambling to get stuff done for my sister's bridal shower tomorrow! Here are some of my highlights from the week.....

I am still loving my new kitchen color! Andy and I have been wanting this passage of scripture in our kitchen for awhile now. I took advantage of naps earlier this week and painted it with some acrylic paint! I love it. It is us. It is a good reminder to make everyday count. It says:

¹⁸ Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. ¹⁹ Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. ²⁰ Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, ²¹ so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth. Deuteronomy 11: 18-21

Last Friday, I got to spend the day with my good friend Francoisé in the cities. We did our annual facials and shopping. We took baby Zakiyah with us. She was perfect! We stopped at West Elm and I am loving these vintage looking kitchen accessories! Do you recognize the name? TALA! My studio name. I didn't get them but they are cute.

Memorial Weekend was a bust weather wise. So we did lots of playing in the house. We had some fun get togethers with friends too! The girls were making a lego church here..... in the desert. Zion is working on the parking lot of cars here. :)

With my husband being a youth pastor, we are in the midst of graduation party season right now. It is our June every year. We hit up Nikki's last Sunday and she had a cookie bar. I was in heaven. So good.

On top of grad season, our youth group, The Gate, performs a annual play too! This year's play is called, "The Kingdom". It was AWESOME!!!!!!!! I can't get over how amazing it was. Andy's assistant YP, Jorden made this happen along with our amazing volunteers! I loved it. Our youth room was packed! We are performing it this sunday for 9:30 and 11 am service! Can't wait. I am proud of Gate mama!

What in the world-- people? It is May. Our fam had the blessing to going to Florida to hit up Disney for a week. It was a blast. I wrote about it here and here.

When we got home on Monday, It was high 70's in southern MN and then this came! 13 + inches of snow. No school. Winter Storm Warning. I had to cancel my whole work day. My 3 year old is in DENIAL.

The above photo is my fav! Ha ha ha ha. She had a meltdown to me regarding wanting to go on a bike ride. ha.

Keeping it real.....I have piles in my house everywhere right now...... Laundry. Garage sale piles for next wknd. never ending.
