LLW

Happy Lock Love Wednesday! I started LLW to keep this hairstylist accountable. It is so easy to get in a hair rut and not style my own hair! I have fun sharing with you anything Hair related! Today, is Before + After day! I even colored my hair this week! Join with me below and link up and show off your styling techniques or beautiful hair!  I love cutting little kid's hair! This is 4 year old, Josie, it was her first haircut! We washed and styled it! Pampering was a must!

My nephew, Ryder is the best! He is such a good boy when I give him haircuts!

Some of my lil ladies fashion this week! Rockin' headbands!!! I love dressing them up and allowing them to use their imagination!

My client, Megan has an amazing assymetric bob! LOVE

I love Rochelle's hair!  It is amazing how cleaning up the perimeter with 2" off, makes a world of a difference. She has beautiful hair!!!
I got to chop off some hair this week! We took 5 + off and colored the hair a dark and rich brown with some fun caramel tones to break up the color a bit! It looks stunning!

Meet Ryan Gosling. Ha. Thanks Carl for being such a good sport and allowing me to giving you a new dapper style! Shave and all……….

My sister, Cara let me make her hair over this week! I love the warmth and intensity of a fresh red/voilet! I love how it looks! Shiny. Healthy. Perfect.

Thought I would throw this one in the mix…….. the real life of Christy….. coffee under hood dryer (hairstylist's version of a blow out) :) Pre- working 12 hours……. BLISS. #akwardselfie #reallife

I love this look!!!! The Braided High Bun is a easy way to switch up your bun!

1. Start with a high pony tail.
2. Braid the pony and put a clear hair tie on.
3. Seperate the braid/ spread out the sections to have more hair to work with.
4. twist the braid into a fun bun to your liking.
5. bobby pin (open up the pin/have the ridged side facing down) and pin around the bun. I used 5 pins. I like keeping the ends out to make the look more casual and natural.
6. Wa-Lah!!!!!

Here is a close up of her high bun!

The Ombré look is sticking around in the hair world, and I love switching it up! I did a reverse Ombré on Amanda this week! I love it!!!!! We bleach her hair and painted on a red/violet and espresso brown through her ends. I toned her blonde with a high lift ash! I love it!!!!!!

Here is Amanda's before and after! She is looking good in the hood!
This was my first time coloring Kim's hair! We ombréd her hair with a fun approach. I painted low lights of a rich brown through from scalp to ends. I then took two different colors to brighten up her hair. I chose a blonde and warm caramel to give her hair some lift. I painted more of the lighter tones around her face! I took 2 inches off overall to freshen up her hair style! Lovley!!!!!!!

Mens hair is so fun to style and cut! Tyler looks fresh!
Blonde Bliss for Lisa! I love her blonde locks!
Claire rocks the bob amazing! She looks stunning! It is totally her style! I love this look on her!!!!

I am still loving the easy twist updo with my headbands! Takes 2 minutes and looks vintage and whimsical!

My lovely Before + After. I had 6 weeks of regrowth going on. I had ombred my hair back before the holidays, and it was time to do a touch up. I went a level lighter this time round (knowing I will want brighter for Spring). I freshened up my ends with blonde too. I like my ombre to have lots of bright pieces around my face, so I don't look washed out.

a side shot for you.

This is my friend, Megan! I took 4" off her hair and cut it assymetrical. Her left side is a few inches longer than her right side. Her goal is to grow out her fringe and eventually rock out a middle part. So, I cleaned up her bangs and gave them a side swept look. She looks beautiful!

Side shot of the longer side!

I love Elizabeth's blonde hair! I did a bleach/tone on her! She loves change and has been having fun walking around with blonde hair!
Miss Sally has amazing hair and I always have fun switching it up for her! I colored her hair with a rich dark brown and gave her 10 foils or so of a neutral caramel to soften up the tone. It looks amazing!

Curtis loves a vintage inspired cut. Thank You Jesus for letting me cut that shag off. (this is my sister's hus) He surprised my sister with this cut! AMEN! Lookin' good Bird.

Lock Love Wednesday!

Wednesdays are fun over here at Tala Hair Life. I share with you hair related posts! Here are some before and afters:

I took 4 inches off Carissa's hair and gave her lots of dimension. I foiled in a rich caramel and colored her hair with a rich deep brown.

Melanie had a ombre going on…..we decided to start brightening it up for spring. We can dream, right? I foiled it with two lighter tones to brighten it up ;)

Love Kati's blonde hair right now!

Top right was before-- we gave Mickael a fresh new look with highlights! It is the perfect timeless cut for fine hair.

Shari is a mama of 4 and one busy lady- Short/Sassy is the perfect look for her!

Brittney has gorgeous curly hair. I cut her hair asymmetrical and colored her hair all over with a shiny, rich brown and painted some over her tips with a caramel. I love her look!

Tanya had drab hair and we needed to give her hair a overall! I colored her hair with a rich chestnut/gold and painted her ends with a blonde. It looks stunning!
I love this makeover! Becky has lovely hair with great texture. We don't want the maintenance of coloring her hair with an all over tint. I put in a ash brown and platinum foils to break up her hair and add dimension. I gave her a modern wedge and I love how classy it is!

Taylor rocks an amazing Ombre (before is top left). We wanted to brighten it up and add more blonde on the tips! She has amazing fringe as well! I love her hair!!!

Shalom Gold Polka Dots! Welcome to my home!

Today, I entered the world of decals! Halleju! Oh my word. Best invention ever. Screw stencils and wallpaper. Check out my space before here! In one hour I transformed my dining room to this!

Say hello to Gold polka dots! Amen and Amen. No ruler. No laser. I winged it…Christy style. I scored these bad boys for under $20- I mean, are you kidding me? I love it!! They are 3" circles. My favorite websites are urban walls and four walls! I got these at Brickyard Buffalo for a killer deal from four walls.

Now that my dining room looks like a million bucks- the rest of my main floor is CHAOS from my little monsters! Zion did try and help her mama. :)

Originally, I was going to sharpie marker this space with a gold pen design. But, I love this!

What do you think? I am in love. It is kinda like tattoos. Now, I want to decal every room. JK Hus.

Have you decaled a room?! I love having these in the Dining Room……..Who says polka dots only belong in a kids space?!
