HIGH FIVE 4 FRIDAY

HELLO! I am so excited that it's the weekend! We have some fun stuff planned and I am ready! It has been a very wintery week, even though it is S-P-R-I-N-G! I am coping with this brisk weather by keeping our fireplace on, fresh flowers everywhere, pastel nail polish, being crafty with my girls, and baking. Oh the baking.......such an addiction of mine. Here are some high lights from my week:

I have so many pictures of my daughters in the mornings! Never enough, though. I just can not get over their sweetness when the sun is shining in. the cuddles. the smiles. the jammies. and the bond they have. (Kiyah is cutting 4 stinkin teeth. Lord, Help me.)

Andy and I have been hosting like crazy. Like everyday this past week....but it has been great. We got to have our dear friends, Bruce and Sherry, over for dessert. They are amazing, Godly people. They are friends. Mentors. Partners in ministry. Real. I made America's Test Kitchen Chocolate Bundt Cake with homemade whipped cream and raspberries. We made them a Cafe Miel too! (well, right.) yum!

Oh my goodness, does this 3 year old act like her........mother. ha. She woke up the other day, starting her day like normal. She was opening her dresser drawer and scratched her hand on the knob....and this is what happened. A day full of "Dramaticistis" FOR REAL! "Mommy, I only have one finger (hand)." and "Mommy, I can't wipe myself" and "Mommy, I can't eat." and "Mommy, Pay (pray) for my hand." and so on. It was hilarious! Thank You to everyone who follows my Instagram and was praying for Zion Leilani. The prayers were answered. She is going at it again. 2 hands. 2 feet. and one spunky attitude.

Our youth group, THE GATE, had an awesome All Nighter this past weekend. It was full of GaGa ball, sugar, pancake bar, crazy dance party, The Oz and lots of chaos. I hit up the church while my littles were sleeping to spend some time with my peeps. It was a blast!

I have been getting a lot of art projects done at home. I needed this. I needed to get out my paint brushes, turn on pandora, light some candles and breath in the creativity. I finished up my House Rules for Cass Casa! I will reveal my art in the next few days! Check back! Happy Friday! Have a blessed weekend.

LLW

I started Lock Lock Wednesday to get myself motivated to style my hair everyday. It is so easy, for even hair stylists to get in a rut with their hair. I am hoping to inspire you along the way with simple and fun techniques to help you look fabulous! Join me along the way. It will be fun! All you have to do is take snapshots of your hair during the week and link up with me below! Feel free to grab a button on the right to put on your blog too!

This past Sunday, My girls and I wore matching outfits to church! It was a first for us. We wore grey sweaters (zion/j.crew, and Kiyah and I/gap) and grey skinnies (z girls/gap and mine/target) It was fun matching my beauties for St. Pattys. I put my hair up with some bobby pins. I had washed my hair the day before so all I needed was my dry shampoo and hairspray. I used a 1/2" curling iron and just put some texture in it with that.

I think they look so big here!

I have been loving being able to throw my hair up now! So fun and fresh. Here I backcombed my hair a lot prior to putting it up. I took bobby pins and pinned down my crown. then gathered my hair as if I were putting it in a loose pony and started pinning. I used my flat iron (1" GHD) to bend some of the strands. I used my hairspray to spread out the crazy strays.

A close up. I love using my silk headbands to dress it up!

This pix is taken yesterday! I rocked out a similar hairstyle. I put my hair in more of bun first with this one and then pinned up. It was less of a pouf. It was fun though. My hair was on day 4 here without washing.....Don't hate ;)

Not sure if you had a chance to see my favs for styling products last week. Check them out here

Are you having any luck with new styles for your hair? Any inspiration you want to pass along? Please share!!! Link up below with your instagram pix or blog post! Remember to use #locklovewed and #locklovewednesday on instagram! Follow mine! Happy Wednesday!!!

I heart Gallery Walls

I think that I am up to 7 or 8 gallery walls in my house! I love them! I thought I would show you our stairway walls today! These stairs are right off our living room. I have a collection of black frames, some with mats, some without. I love adding to this series as our family grows and more memories are made. I love how gallery walls are personal, show our history, and speak Cass Life.

as the days and year go... I continue to build on these walls!

In love with Edison light bulbs. I got them on Amazon.

Aren't they beautiful?

Over our kitchen table, we hung a big drum shade! It is so pretty at night when it glows. I love how it has southwestern flare mixed with ikat. Praise.
