Bathroom REVEAL

I am so excited to share with you my Bathroom today! I have been dying to paint this room for months! I am a big fan of the blog, Vintage Revivals, and I saw this post on using triangles for a wall treatment and I knew that it belonged in my house! So……….. here is the before.

typical beige painters paint. boring…..now…..

How amazing is this? I love it!!!!!! The triangles are the reflection in the mirror!

I started out by painting the walls with "Mindful Gray" by Sherwin-Williams.

I decided to do one wall as a feature wall. My hus cut a triangle out of wood for me and wrapped it in fabric. We attached it with staples. I used a plate for the paint. I used a black Sherwin Williams paint for the triangle stamp. I used a laser level to go off of for a straight line. I measured 3-4 fingers in between each row.

I love triangles and tribal stuff right now…….I am soooo happy with how it turned out! It is so fun and cheerful for a bathroom.

It is impossible to get a good overview shot of this small room, so I have lots of different angles for you!

I freshened up the room with a pix of our family (Kanvess print of instagram) in a target frame. The flower vase is Crate n Barrel and the trays (soap/flower) are West Elm. My hand towel is TJ Maxx. I switch them out all the time.

The girls cute stool is TJ Maxx.

The white shelf is Target Threshold series. The faux greens are Pier One. The canvas I made, and the doily is Anthropologie. The candle is my fav from Target. I love LAVENDER!!!! The room spray is homemade.

I put scrapbook paper behind the print ;)

Wool rug from Target.

Basket is TJ Maxx

What do you think? I am chomping at painting more rooms! I love this! I am so excited every time I go in the divine room! Have you tried any stamp/stencils lately on walls?

Happy Monday!

My Week

Happy Friday Y'all! Sharing with you today, some of my fav iphone pix from the week.......Linking up with Lauren and Jeanett.

We had the craziest week and I am celebrating that it is over! It was busy and great and all, but this mama needs a nap. My hus had seminary for 7 days this week, commuting 100 miles to get there. We had Minnesota Youth Convention here in Rochester with our youth group, an all nighter at the church for the teens (I stayed up until 6:30am), hosted my mother in law(who willlingly watched our girls :) and had Bible study with the teens, worked long hours, meetings etc......you catch my drift. busy. So coffee was my BFF, as usual.

My MIL surprised the girls with this amazing Ferarri for the girls (Christmas gift)! They are stoked!!!!! Its so cute! It is another example of me living out my childhood dreams through my girls :)

Youth Convention- the worship was outstanding! I love gathering with 4000 teens! talk about powerful! World Changers!

I love play dates!
I love our church fam!
My girls are sooooo blessed with little buddies-
These girls were soooooooo presh playing in the leaves!

I posted this on instagram....... but it is cuteness overload. Everytime, I go and grab my 14 month old out of her crib, she hands me her lovies first. My perfect babe! (and look at those morning eyes)

I am experimenting with rearranging items in my home. I was stoked when I thought of putting my plant in the basket...... just a touch too big. bummer.  I am going to buy a bigger one though. Do you like?

I moved my console table to the living room. I am loving it in this corner. I am wanting to change up my art too. Do you see the pj pants? Ha

Last night, we celebrated my hus' 7 days of Intensives being over with a cozy dinner. {Pioneer Woman meatloaf, glazed carrots from my neighbor's garden, scalloped corn} and my hus surprised me with the purple roses and the girls with sunflowers! They are beautiful!

This is my 1/2 bathroom when we moved in.......Lets just say, there is a big reveal for you on Monday! It is amazing!!!!!! I have been painting away! Check back Monday for the reveal!

Do you have any plans for the weekend? We are hitting up an adult costume party tonight! My hus is preaching Sunday at our church too- if you live in the Rochester area, Check out our church at 8, 9:30, 11 am.

Happy Friday friends.

LLW

I started Lock Lock Wednesday to get myself motivated to style my hair everyday. It is so easy, for even hair stylists to get in a rut with their hair. I am hoping to inspire you along the way with simple and fun techniques to help you look fabulous! Join me along the way. It will be fun! All you have to do is take snapshots of your hair during the week and link up with me below!

I am sharing some fun before+afters with you today! I had the chance to cut my friend, Jodi's hair to a fun bob on Monday! I colored her hair with panels of blonde and chocolate brown foils! I love it! It gives her a sophisticated look!
My friend Sarah (above) is a new mama to 4 month old twin boys! She has been focusing on pregnancy and baby-land for the past year and a half and needed some tlc. I cut her back up 4" and gave it a angled look. I love it! She has beautiful hair and it was my pleasure giving her this pamper session!
This is Sarah's hus, Nick! He was DD *duck dynasty, and we were not a fan! I chopped off his hair! Praise the Lord. Nick, is one of my old youth kids, now adult/hus/father, and we needed to embrace his thinning hair. Nick has been wearing his hair long since teenage-hood. I was so excited to chop it off! We even shaved his beard. He looks like a new man!

Here is my hair yesterday! I simply took my hair in sections and pinned it back with bobby pins. i braided the sides and it was a easy way to style my hair for work!

Please share your hair with me! Link up below and follow me on Insta! #locklovewednesday and #locklovewed

Have a blessed day!

Mama Beege's Pumpkin Bars

Fall brings on the best food in the Cass home. I tend to go in soup, baking, crockpot overload once September hits Minnesota! A Cass fav is my mom's recipe for pumpkin bars! They are devine! Cream cheese frosting and pumpkin.....need I say more? Today, I am sharing with you the amazing recipe! I make this every couple of weeks for our youth kids this time of year! I don't trust myself making them for us just my family. I need the help from others to eat these bad boys! YUM!

Preheat oven to 350 and grease a jelly roll pan for the bars.

Ingredients:

4 eggs
1 c. oil (I use whatever I have on hand)
2 c. sugar ( I have halved the sugar/ 1 part white and 1 part brown)
1 15 oz can of pumpkin
2 c. flour (you can use whole wheat or white)
2 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. ginger
1/2 t. clove
1/2 t. nutmeg (the seasonings make these bars!)

bake for 25-30 min

Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese
3/4 stick of butter (unsalted)
---I put out the cream cheese and butter at room temp---
4 c. of powdered sugar
1 T. milk (I use almond milk)

Frost the bars at room temp! One thing that you can do is sprinkle/sift on cinnamon to the top of the frosting! It looks and tastes pretty.

Welcome to the best fall treat ever!

Do you have a favorite dessert? Please share!!!!

Happy Tuesday!

This week I am sharing with you a plethora of sorts, of pretty things. Hair and Beauty.

It has been a busy week at Tala! I had the lovely opportunity to head up to the beautiful city of Stillwater (Eastern suburb of St. Paul) for one of my client's wedding this past weekend. I got to style hair and attend the beautiful wedding!

Here are the gorgeous bridesmaids and bride. I love their dresses (mod cloth) and the floral arrangements. They look stunning! Taylor, the bride, styled her own hair, wanting it to be romantic and  down. I love the overall look!

Here are some close ups of the styles.

On Kayla, we used a side braid on the right and some fun knots on the left. Her hair was should length so it was fun to funk it up a touch.

Karly (above) had tons of hair that hit the lower part of her back. So, I literally took the bottom half of her hair and made two braids and put them in a bun to hide hair that was un-needed. I twisted the top sections back in curls to avoid a part and give it lots of volume.

Dude, have you tried hair chalk? It is great for all ages! I took this selfie in the car of mine. I rocked it for the wedding. It washes out and is a fun way to switch up your hair. I use it on kiddos all the time too! (as seen below at Tala) If you want some, let me know, and I will order it for you!

Some Tala- Before/Afters from the week:
This is a Ombre fix- another hair stylist colored this ombre, and my client wasn't feeling it so we did a very heavy blonde foil with random chocolate brown low lights distributed throughout to balance the retouch and ends. I love how it turned out.
My girl, Cindy, let me brighten up her hair with copper/gold highlights and a rich copper/auburn tint. I love it!
I wish I had a before for Danielle! She had a level 7-8 ash blonde and I went through and foils pretty much every strand with a high lift bleach. I did peek-a-boo 5/6 N foils throughout the hair as well. I love how bright it is!
This was my first time cutting Claire's hair and we rocked out a new/fresh style for fall. She graduated from college in May and is a official grown up now! I love how healthy and sophisticated her hair is now!

I brightened up my friend, Alicia's hair this week too! Lots of bright blondes! I love how the platinum brings out her eyes!

My friend Jordan hung out with me this week and I whipped in some braids to do a quick and easy style!

Lock Love.... Wed....er....Thursday

Hi friends! I have been slacking with my LLW posts! Sorry, I just sometimes need the inspiration to flow ;) Fall is here, whether, we like it or not..... But, Minnesota falls are the BEST. The leaves are in full color changing mode. Bliss. I am so excited for the change of season from the fashion side of things. Burgundies. Hazelnut browns, boots , scarfs, bold lips etc. I have been pinning away on my Pinterest boards for fall.  I am a huge fan of a couple fashion blogs that are so inspirational as well.

( ^^ for weddings and fashion)
(dive into those and you will thank me)

I love a simple braid and updo combo.

I am obsessed, to say the least, with this fashion currently. Pretty sure, I have been rocking the bohemian headband 5x a week.

I scored my headband on Etsy.

I love this simple twisted side bun.

How beautiful is this woman? I love the asymmetrical lob (long bob)

I am dying to style someone's hair like this at Tala.

A fun approach to the fishtail.

Lovely lip and nude makeup

My target shirt- It is my "worship Jesus" shirt. Thanks Target ;)

I love curling short hair. This is Lisa, she has been rocking this "long" cut for her, a while now. I showed her how to curl the hair with a 1" inch curling iron. The key is to keep the ends (1-2") out of the curling iron, curling away from the face. We used Kenra taffy to piece it out. She is gorgeous.

I get asked all the time about Base Breaks. They are revolutionary for caramel/blondes. The left is my before the BB yesterday- and after on the right. You simply, break the base with a high lift color for 5-10 minutes. I do this every 5-6 weeks, and foil in blonde every 4 months. I love how it doesn't over-process my hair, gives my hair a break, brightens up everything, and is good for my client's pocket books. I charge $35. They are the best!!!!

I colored Kari's Base break yesterday! She had 1" of re-growth. I love how it changes the whole look of blonde!

I can not believe that Tala has been open for 2 years now! What to the what?! I am celebrating with you by offering a discount on my Awapuhi Shampoo + Conditioner liters and my favorite dry shampoo! Thanks to all my Tala peeps for letting this lady, live out her dream! You rock!

Join the fun, and link up below, via instagram dot com or your blog and share your style.fashion, and hair favs! Feel free to comment below too :) I love hearing about your favs! Please share the goodness.

Loves.
